A near flooding of upper lake Bumshaft was narrowly averted today when fearless ranchhands Mike McCabe and Craig Dorety bravely waded, neck deep, in the torrential waters to unplug what was reported to be an alleged matting of rotted wicker, walnuts, and sludge. Sources claim that, without the bravery of these two stoic ranchhands, the entire ranch and surrounding counties would have been completely underwater.
